Renovations & Additions: Slover Bradham House
New Bern, NC
Built in 1848-49, the Slover Bradham House at the corner of Johnson and East Front Streets was recently sold to a couple from Charlotte. The house was in rather poor condition with respect to roof and guttering, windows, and exterior wood trim, as well as the iron balcony railings located on the first floor all of which required considerable restoration. Due to the lack of a kitchen commensurate with the house, a new kitchen was formed by extending the existing roof and colonade of the rear porch. At the porch end a new  garage was developed with a garden separating the garage from the main house. The project was completed in 2014
